Artist's Comments

My second space piece. Took quite a bit longer than my first, though the end result is not nearly as good. I fear that I may have bitten off more than I can chew, and tried to create something that's quite beyond my skill level. I worked on it for so long, but just got tired of working on it, so here it is.

Things I'm happy with: Earth-like planet, ships, big flames

Things I'm not happy with: Pretty much everything else.

My next piece will likely be alot more toned down and have alot less clutter to it.

Time: Too damn long, considering how I feel about it.

the sign and field are good. piece is a bit cluttered, but quite good. the small planet at the top looks a lil flat. how did u do the firey stuff at the top, did u brush that? comets are nice as well

Interesting, but I think the only thing that really kills it is the exploding planet. Had you removed that and re-arranged the remaining items in a new way, this could've been really top material. It's still good now, and I do like it, but that's the thing that's keeping it from being REALLY good, you know?

Awesome....well done man. i have to agree with meta, the exploding planets to spoil an otherwise excellent pic a bit. The planet with the spaceships departing from it could do with a bit of work, but man....that nebula is fucking awesome.

Hey Cool! I see your still making the space stuff. Those nebulae are still way beyond the standard of the ones I make - can you send me an example of one of the bitmaps you use - just so I can see which ones are the ones I should be using.

This piece is massive so I can't see all of it yet but if the bottom's as good as the top then this is one awesome piece. Great stuff! :) :D :)
